The 20-Inch String Wound Cartridge is engineered to handle challenging water conditions where standard melt-blown (spun) filters might clog too quickly. By using a continuous strand of high-quality polypropylene yarn wound in a specific diamond pattern, this filter provides “true depth filtration.” This is essential for protecting expensive downstream equipment like RO membranes and UV sterilizers in high-turbidity areas across Sri Lanka.

Key Features & Benefits:

• Superior Dirt-Holding Capacity: The unique honeycomb structure is “loose” on the outside and “tight” on the inside.⁵ This gradient density allows the filter to hold significantly more sediment by weight compared to standard filters, extending the time between replacements.

• Steady Flow & Low Pressure Drop: Despite its massive size and filtration precision, the wound design allows for high flow rates (up to 10–30 GPM depending on diameter), ensuring consistent water pressure for your entire facility.

• 100% Virgin Polypropylene: Manufactured using food-grade materials that are 100% free from resin binders, lubricants, and anti-static agents. It is safe for drinking water, beverage processing, and pharmaceutical applications.

• Chemical & Temperature Resistance: The polypropylene media offers excellent resistance to most acids, alkalis, and solvents. It is rated for temperatures up to 60°C – 74°C, making it suitable for both cold and hot water pre-filtration.

• Structural Integrity: The yarn is tightly wound around a reinforced central core, ensuring the cartridge maintains its shape and filtration accuracy even during sudden pressure surges or heavy sediment loads.
